ACF River Basin
Conditions for the week of Jan. 4-10
Significant precipitation (1-2 inches, locally to 3.5 inches) was limited to southern sections of Alabama, northern and central Florida, central and southeastern Georgia. Enough rain fell this and last week to make additional improvements in southeastern Alabama, central and southern Georgia, and northern Florida. Little or no precipitation fell on northern sections of Alabama and Georgia. This area will need to be watched for future downgrading as it mostly missed out on the heavy rains of last week, and average USGS stream flows at 1-, 7-, 14-, and 28-days remained at near- (less than 10th percentile) or record-low flows.
