KnowBullying provides information and guidance on ways to prevent bullying and build resilience in children. The app provides parents, caregivers, and educators with:

  • Conversation Starters: Start easy, meaningful conversations with your children.
  • Tips: Learn strategies to prevent bullying for children and teens ages 3‒18.
  • Warning Signs: Recognize if your child is engaging in bullying, being bullied, or witnessing bullying.
  • Reminders: Talk with your child when the time feels right: a quiet moment on the way to school or a game, during dinner, or relaxing outside.
  • Social Media: Share successful strategies and useful advice via Facebook, Twitter, email, and text messages.

SAMHSA Disaster App lets responders focus on what really matters—the people in need. The app helps responders:

  • Be ready—access resources for any type of traumatic event, including tip sheets; guides for responders, teachers, parents, and caregivers; and a directory of behavioral health service providers in the affected area.
  • Be prepared—rely on and access pre-downloaded resources on your phone in case of limited Internet connectivity in the field.
  • Be confident—review key preparedness materials so you're sure to provide the best support possible.
  • Share resources easily—send information to colleagues and survivors via text message, email, or transfer to a computer for printing.

Suicide Safe: SAMHSA’s Suicide Prevention App for Health Care Providers

Suicide Safe is a new suicide prevention app for mobile devices, and optimized for tablets, that helps providers integrate suicide prevention strategies into their practice and address suicide risk among their patients. The app helps providers to:

  • Learn how to use the SAFE-T approach when working with patients.
  • Explore interactive sample case studies and see the SAFE-T in action through case scenarios and tips.
  • Quickly access and share information, including crisis lines, fact sheets, educational opportunities, and treatment resources.
  • Browse conversation starters that provide sample language and tips for talking with patients who may be in need of suicide intervention.
  • Locate treatment options, filter by type and distance, and share locations and resources to provide timely referrals for patients.
