Congressman Bob Gibbs Announces High School Art Contest

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Bob Gibbs is pleased to announce that his office will begin taking submissions for the 2012 Congressional Art Competition.  The winning artwork will be displayed for a year in the U.S. Capitol.

“I am pleased to announce to the high school artists of Ohio’s 18th Congressional District that my office will be taking submissions for the 2012 Congressional Art Competition,” said Congressman Gibbs.  “I look forward to seeing the winner’s artwork represent Ohio and our communities in the U.S. Capitol.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Gibbs released the following statement in response to President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2013 budget request:

“I am very disappointed that the President has clearly not learned his lesson that we can’t tax, spend, borrow, and bailout our way to job creation.  But the President merely maintained the status quo of the last four years.  Instead of a plan for removing barriers to private-sector job growth, his proposal repeats many of his previous budget prescriptions and is just more of the same failed ‘stimulus’-style policies.
