Not Forgotten

Not Forgotten tells the story of an American widow who finds the closure she's been seeking for more than forty years when her MIA Marine husband’ identification tags and wedding ring are recovered in Vietnam.

Nashville District - Vietnam War Commemorative Partner

Vietnam War Commemoration EmblemThe U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is a commemorative partner of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to assist a grateful nation in thanking and honoring Vietnam veterans and their families.  From 2015-2017 the district will organize 50th Anniversary events and activities - dignified occasions -- that show a sensitivity and appreciation for the solemnity of war and the losses suffered by many. 

Program Objectives

  • Thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War, including personnel who were held as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action, for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States and to thank and honor the families of these veterans.
  • Highlight the service of the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War and the contributions of Federal agencies and governmental and non-governmental organizations that served with, or in support of, the Armed Forces.
  • Pay tribute to the contributions made on the home front by the people of the United States during the Vietnam War.
  • Highlight the advances in technology, science, and medicine related to military research conducted during the Vietnam War.
  • Recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by the allies of the United States during the Vietnam War.
