The European
Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE)
is an international scientific association which aims (1) to contribute to the development and application of
environmental and resource economics as a science in Europe; (2) to improve communication and contacts between teachers,
researchers and students in environmental and resource economics in
different European countries;
(3) to develop and encourage cooperation between university
level teaching institutions and research institutions in Europe.
Founded in 1990, EAERE currently has over 900 members from Europe and beyond, from academic institutions, the public sector,
and private industry. Interests range from traditional economics, agricultural
economics, forestry, and natural resource schools. Through
the Association Journal, Environmental and Resource
Economics, the Annual Conference,
the annual Summer Schools, and affiliation with
our sister associations in North America (AERE) and Latin America (ALEAR), EAERE
provides many forums for exchanging ideas relevant to the allocation
and management of natural and environmental resources.
