Day Use Fees

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at J. Percy Priest Lake charges a day use fee at selected recreation areas. The areas on J. Percy Priest Lake charging these fees are Cook Day Use and Anderson Road Day Use. These two areas offer sand swimming beaches, playgrounds, launching ramps, bathrooms, picnic sites and picnic shelters. The fees are $5.00 per private vehicle per day or $20 per commercial vehicle per day. Current Golden Age and Golden Access Passport holders and America the Beautiful Interagency Senior & Access Pass holders will receive free use of these parks.

Payment of the fee will permit the use of similar day use facilities at any Corps project on the date of payment. A paid camping permit from a Corps operated campground will entitle the holder to use any designated day use facility without paying the day user fee on the day for which the camping permit is valid.

Annual Passes

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Day Use Annual Passes are available for sale at the J. Percy Priest Lake Visitor Center, at Anderson Road Day Use Area, and at Cook Day Use Area. Annual Passes cost $40.00. The Annual Pass provides free admission to all similar day use facilities at any Corps project. It does not provide any discount at campgrounds or other federal agencies.

The America the Beautiful Interagency Annual Pass will be sold beginning January 1, 2016 at the J. Percy Priest Lake Visitor Center, Anderson Road Day Use, and Cook Day Use. The pass costs $80 and covers entrance to Fish & Wildlife Service and National Park Service sites that charge Entrance Fees and to USACE, Forest Service, Burea of Land Management, and Bureau of Land Reclamation sites that charge Standard Amenity Fees.

Note: Not all recreational facilities on J. Percy Priest Lake are operated by the Corps of Engineers and thus the recreational fees charged, if any, are not necessarily compatible. Therefore, a camping permit or an entrance pass from Nashville Shores will not admit you into Cook Day Use Area. An Annual Pass for State Parks issued by Long Hunter will not admit you to Anderson Road Day Use Area. Likewise a permit or pass issued by the Corps will not necessarily admit you into Nashville Shores or Long Hunter State Park.
