The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates and maintains four campgrounds at West Point Lake. Registered campers are entitled to the full use of campground facilities such as grills and tables, dump stations, laundries and showers.
The USACE operated campgrounds are "fee campgrounds" with resident park attendants. Many of the fee campgrounds offer boat ramps, playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and nature trails.
The two marinas on the lake are privately owned and operated.
For the safety of our campers and visitors, drive through courtesy passes may be restricted when the campground is at or near full capacity.
Beginning January 1, 2016 all sites in all four campgrounds are reservable. Campers are encouraged to make reservations in advance by going to www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. As a reminder, if a site is not occupied and does not have an incoming reservation for the time period a person desires to camp, that site is available on a first come first served basis.
Beginning January 1, 2017 the updated campground Vehicle Policy goes into affect for all four U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds. Please note that you will be limited to four vehicles per campsite (including boat trailers and camping equipment) and golf carts will no longer be permitted.
