Nobody said moving was easy. But a visit to your installation's relocation support offices will give you the tools you need to carry it off without a hitch. Each of these convenient, on-installation resources should be on your PCS to-do list. Here's what to look for:
- The relocation assistance office, often part of your installation's Military and Family Support Center, will provide you with tools and resources for a smooth move.
- The transportation office, or TMO, can help schedule your household goods pack-out and shipment.
- Your installation's housing office helps you weigh your options for both on- and off-installation living.
These installation offices can take a lot of the stress out of your moving experience.

The transportation office can schedule moves only for service members and families on PCS orders. But, if you're moving locally or for personal reasons, visit the relocation assistance office for referrals and other useful information.
Housing office
Need help deciding where to live? Visit the housing office at either your current installation or your new installation. The staff there can help you weigh the options for both on- and off-installation housing so you can make decisions prior to your move.
