The Marine Mammal Laboratory (MML) Library has an extensive collection of marine mammal literature, some of which is rare and difficult to find elsewhere. The MML Library supports the research of Marine Mammal Laboratory (formerly National Marine Mammal Laboratory, NMML) and other NOAA scientists. This page aims to raise awareness of MML Library resources and also provides links to other sites pertaining to marine mammals and related topics of interest to researchers and to the general public.

The MML Library contains books, journals, theses, reprints, and other materials. The collection focuses primarily on marine mammals and related species of interest, but also includes information on ecology, fisheries, management, and other related topics. The MML Library also has three major archives with documents from the International Whaling Commission, the International North Pacific Fisheries Commission, and northern fur seal research.

Some external links on the MML Library site are not available online to the public but can still be accessed directly at the library during the hours of service listed below. MML publications can be searched for at the AFSC Publications Database by specifying the division to "MML/NMML".

Note:  The National Marine Mammal Laboratory (NMML) has recently changed its name to "Marine Mammal Laboratory" (MML). Please be aware that the former name still exists on lower-tier pages which have been retained for historical context.
