What is SERV ?
SERV is an employee benefit available to eligible employees in the Executive Branch who have at least six months of state service.
With supervisor approval, an employee may volunteer during regular work schedule up to one day per month at an approved Massachusetts non-profit organization (7.5 or 8 hours/month; pro-rated for part-time employees.)
Eligible areas include:• Education

• Public and Charter Schools
• Health and Human Services
• Public Safety

If there is a non-profit organization that you are interested in volunteering for and it is not listed on the approved list, please complete a Nonprofit Request Form and email your request along with any additional questions or concerns to SERV@MassMail.State.MA.US

Statewide Calendar of SERV One-time Volunteer Opportunities. Eligible Executive Branch employees can sign up to do a one-time shift (most are 2-4 hours) at a food pantry, homeless shelter, blood drive, or other non-profits. The calendar is maintained by the SERV Coordinator at the Human Resources Division. Email the Coordinator if you would like to reserve a shift. Latoya.Odlum@MassMail.State.MA.US
