What is the most accurate and useful way to measure national poverty levels? What options does the U.S. government have for balancing the federal budget? And how can we educate people in ways that help them become versatile and innovative thinkers? Research in economics, education, and the social sciences can help answer questions such as these and aid decision-makers in shaping fiscal and economic policies and preparing a competitive work force.  See also:

FAA Safety cover Assessment of Staffing Needs of Systems Specialists in Aviation (BOHSI)

This report makes comment on developing a staffing model for the 6,100 workers that maintain the National Airspace System. Compensation Data cover Collecting Compensation Data from Employers (CNSTAT)
2013

A recent bill in Congress would have required the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to mandate that employers provide information on pay by race, gender, and national origin of employees. This report concludes that this would have been a significant undertaking for EEOC. The report says that EEOC should prepare a comprehensive plan for the use of earnings data, and then initiate a pilot study to test the plan and its data collection methods.

Education for Life cover Education for Life and Work: Developing Transferable Knowledge and Skills in the 21st Century (BOTA)
