The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Public Affairs Office works to keep the public informed about the district's missions, which include regulatory, navigation, flood risk reduction, hydropower, recreation, emergency response, and envioronmental stewardship, water resource engineering solutions, world class public infrastructure management, and environmental stewardship for the Cumberland-Tennessee River Systems.
Public Affairs also coordinates media queries and assists reporters with interviews and access to Corps facilities. The office maintains relationships with local communities in the district and handles requests for speakers at schools, civic organizations and other public outreach events.
