FIREX Town Hall 

NOAA's Atmospheric Chemistry, Carbon Cycle, & Climate (AC4) program as well as the Chemical Sciences Division at ESRL hosted a virtual Town Hall to update participants on North American fire and air quality field and laboratory studies that are being conducted as part of a comprehensive fire research program. FIREX (Fire Influence on Regional and Global Environments Experiment) is designed to understand and predict the impact of North American fires on the atmosphere and to support better land management to help prevent them from occurring. This town hall builds upon a previously released whitepaper that details the background and goals of the FIREX program.
