Special Calls
Occasionally, NCR-SARE will issue special calls on a given topic. Below are some special calls that have been issued.
The NCR-SARE listening sessions serve as an opportunity to bring together people with differing viewpoints within a community of place to share their perspectives of sustainability and agriculture. NCR-SARE’s listening sessions are conducted by the Circle of Sustainability, a committee of NCR-SARE’s Administrative Council.
Reports resulting from the listening sessions serve as a respected information source on the status and prospects of sustainable agriculture and as such guide the Administrative Council that directs the NCR-SARE competitive grants and other programs.
The deadline for submitting Native American Sustainable Agricultural Grant Program proposals was Wednesday, September 30, 2009.
2010 Call for Native American Sustainable Agriculture Grant Proposals (Word)
The Native American Sustainable Agricultural Grant Program was initially funded as a one-time NCR-SARE grant program. The purpose of this grant program was to fund project(s) that can help NCR-SARE reach and work with Native Americans to improve agricultural sustainability in the North Central Region. Maximum total grant size was $275,000, with a maximum duration of three years.
The deadline for submitting Diversity Grant proposals was Friday, November 30, 2007.
Diversity Research and Education Grant Program Call for Proposals (Word)
The Diversity Research and Education Grant Program was to fund people and/or projects that can help NCR-SARE reach andwork with underserved audiences to improve agricultural sustainability in the region.
