UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center (NEMAC) is a boundary organization facilitating the interaction between science producers and users, with a focus on helping people understand—and reach decisions in—a changing world.
NEMAC is an applied research center of UNC Asheville. As an applied research center, we implement science in real-world settings. As a center of UNC Asheville, we promote collaborations among the university’s students, faculty, and staff and the community by fostering active partnerships with academic, public, private, and community organizations.
