Effective February 1, 2016, all cases in which a plaintiff seeks review, pursuant to 42 U.S.C Sec 405(g), of a decision by the Commissioner of Social Security, shall be randomly assigned to a United States Magistrate Judge. Further, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York and Regional Counsel for the Social Security Administration have agreed to participate in a Pilot Program for Electronic Service in Social Security Cases.
