  VA Dentistry in the News
Beautiful teeth are important but did you know how important they are to your overall health?  Check out Your Smile Says It All on the MyHealtheVet portal about ways for keeping your teeth and mouth healthy.

You might have heard or read in the news about specific VA dental clinics that did not practice appropriate infection control.  We want to assure you dental care provided at our 200+ VA dental facilities is safe and secure.  In fact, VA requires our dental clinics to adhere to standards even higher than those set by the Centers for Disease Control.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask your dental provider what he or she is doing everyday to protect your health and safety.

  Did You Know...
...VA sponsors more advanced dental residency training positions than any other organization?  In fact, nearly half of all dentists in post graduate education programs rotate through the local VA medical center, taking advantage of the special knowledge and skills of the VA staff attending dentists and physicians.
