The Consortium for Undergraduate Research Experience

The Consortium for Undergraduate Research Experience, or CURE, offers summer and year-round research opportunities at JPL in the areas of astronomy, astrophysics, planetary science and space exploration to science, engineering and mathematics students selected from a consortium of Los Angeles area community colleges.

The STEM Teacher and Researcher Program, or STAR, is a nine-week summer fellowship that offers undergraduate, graduate and teaching-credential-seeking students from any California State University campus, or Noyce Scholars from any U.S. university, who are planning to become science teachers an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience at research centers nationwide, including JPL.

NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program

QUICK VIEW

The NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program, or NITARP, gets educators involved in authentic astronomical research by teaming them up with professional astronomers for a year-long original research project using NASA's vast archives of astronomical data from space- and ground-based telescopes.

National Community College Aerospace Scholars

QUICK VIEW

The National Community College Aerospace Scholars, or NCAS, program is an online workshop for community college students interested in exploring careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The program culminates in a three-day, in-person learning experience at a NASA center.

Planetary Science Summer Seminar

The JPL Planetary Science Summer Seminar is an intensive one-week workshop for graduate, doctoral and postdoc students who are interested in a career in planetary exploration to learn the process of developing a robotic space mission through concurrent engineering.
