Why Our Work Matters…
Education impacts health, economic growth, and food security. Across the world, increasing the average level of higher education in a country by just one year can add half a percentage point of growth to gross domestic product.
USAID/Uganda supports the public and private sectors to preserve and nurture human capacity by working towards a healthier and more educated society. Through its many partners and projects, USAID aims to prevent diseases, improve treatment for the sick, and enhance health care delivery and systems, especially for the most vulnerable groups.
USAID's Education and Social Services program in Uganda aims to:
- Improve Basic Education
