USAID is always prepared to provide emergency aid to those in need around the world. USAID programs provide immediate relief in the aftermath of a crisis while also setting the stage for recovery and rehabilitation. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Providing tools and seeds to allow farmers to replant crops,
- Offering psychosocial care to traumatized disaster survivors, and
- Helping affected people get back on their feet.

Why Our Work Matters…
Every year, droughts, floods, hurricanes, and other natural disasters affect millions of people around the world, and millions of other people are in need of emergency food aid. USAID focuses on crisis prevention, response, recovery and transition to strengthen resilience, mitigate the impact of disasters, and save lives.
The 3rd Battalion of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade answers an urgent call from USAID to prepare humanitarian supplies for displaced persons in Georgia.
