Victim/Witness Services - We will make every effort to afford the services listed, upon request and availability, to any person who has suffered direct physical or emotional harm or any other damage as a result of an offense investigated or prosecuted by US Air Force authorities. Article 139, UCMJ, may also provide relief if the property loss or damage resulted from wrongful taking or willful damage by a member of the Armed Forces due to riotous, violent, or disorderly conduct. See Chapter 8, AFI 51-501, Tort Claims.
Other Potential benefits:
Victims of intra-familial abuse offenses may be eligible for limited transitional compensation benefits, waiver of mandatory forfeitures, and possible entitlement to a portion of the active duty member’s retirement benefits. See DoDI 1342.24.

Protection - Reasonable protection from a suspected offender may be requested by contacting the Base Defense Operating Center (BDOC) at (719) 333-2000, Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) at (719) 333-3305, and 911. Additionally, AFI 36-2110, Assignments, Attachment 12, Threatened Person Assignments (TPA) allows for the rapid removal of Airman and dependents from a life threatening situation. Threats of bodily harm or death must have been made against the Airman or dependents and be of such a severity that military and civilian authorities are unable to provide for the family’s continued safety. Such a request must be made to the installation commander and include certain information.
