The western U.S. will experience active weather yet again this week as significant Pacific moisture brings rain and mountain snow to the region. This heavy rain will create flood concerns in parts of WA, OR and CA. Very heavy snow is possible in the Sierra, Cascades, Great Basin and parts of the northern Rockies.

This area of freezing rain has already produced up to a quarter inch of ice in southern KS and is tracking toward Mound City, Butler, Nevada, Clinton and Warsaw... over the next one to two hours. Prepare for very hazardous travel conditions and ice that will start to weigh on trees and power lines.
