As Deputy Laboratory Director for Programs, Mark Peters is responsible for the management and integration of the Laboratory’s science and technology portfolio, strategic planning, Laboratory Directed Research and Development and technology transfer.
Paul K. Kearns is Deputy Laboratory Director for Operations and Chief Operations Officer for the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory. He brings nearly three decades of management experience to the position, as well as a strong background in science and engineering.
Peter B. Littlewood is Associate Laboratory Director for Physical Sciences and Engineering (PSE). A physicist by training, Littlewood is responsible for Argonne's fundamental science capabilities in materials science, nanoscience, chemical sciences and engineering, physics and high energy physics. He works with Argonne senior leadership to manage and integrate the laboratory's strategies, with a particular focus on materials for energy.
Alfred P. Sattelberger is Associate Laboratory Director for Energy Engineering and Systems Analysis (EESA). Sattelberger oversees Argonne’s programs in energy research—including energy storage, renewable energy, energy efficiency and nuclear energy—and national security.
