Overview: Municipalities can choose to take part in the “weighted/graded” Assessment Center option or “sole” Assessment Center option rather than the traditional written Human Resource Division (HRD) exam.

    • Weighted/Graded examination: This examination includes the HRD’s written examination and an Assessment Center created and administered by the municipality’s vendor.  Only the candidates who pass the written examination will be allowed to take the Assessment Center.  Education and Experience credit will be taken into account.  Promotional preference points are applicable.   A Delegation Agreement between the municipality and HRD is required prior to the administration of the Assessment Center.
    • Sole Assessment Center examination:  This examination does not include the HRD written examination.  Candidates sign up for and participate in only the Assessment Center that the municipality administers.  Employment/Experience credit will be taken into account.  Promotional preference points are applicable.   A Delegation Agreement between the municipality and HRD is required prior to the administration of the Assessment Center.
