The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting repairs on a section of the Lightning Creek Levee in Clark Fork, Idaho, beginning January 17, 2017. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials will restore two sections of the levee that were damaged during flood events in December, 2015. The damaged sites are adjacent to the repairs constructed in 2008.

The large lock will close to all marine traffic for pump plant-related work from 8 a.m. to noon January 17. The small lock will still be available for vessels less than 120 feet in length and 26 feet in width during this period.

SEATTLE – A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers team rescued a 6-foot white sturgeon during the annual maintenance pump out at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks November 10.

SEATTLE -- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials will close the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks park grounds in Ballard at 4 p.m. today and reopen at 7 a.m., the normal operating time, November 16.
