Army Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) are required to provide their Influenza (Flu) Vaccine requirements for the upcoming 2017 � 2018 Influenza (Flu) season. All Active, Reserve and National Guard Components should plan for 100% mandatory vaccination of service members as a total force vaccination is expected.

Request that each component coordinate with their perspective Preventive Medicine Staff, Pharmacy Officers, Logisticians, as well as last year's Influenza Point of Contacts (POC's) to determine the number of doses needed to meet the requirements. Ensure to review deployment and redeployment schedules. Take into account previous influenza vaccine orders, usage, and end of year waste history, when analyzing how much vaccine to request.

Complete the �2017-2018 DoD Seasonal Influenza Ordering Form� attached. (See Image, on Message under Additional Documentation/Attachments).

Follow the ordering form and enter your requirements by the multiple age categories to assist in minimizing the impact of manufacturing problems or shipping delays. Manufacturers may bid and win multiple age categories. Do not try to avoid a particular product by not placing an order in a specific age group. The manufacturing contracts have not been awarded for next year, and DoD cannot predict who the suppliers will be, based on last year's contracts. The seasonal Influenza Vaccines that may be awarded could include a mixture of Trivalent and Quadrivalent Vaccine.

Do not offset projected requirements with any on-hand stock of 2016-2017 vaccine.

Reserve and National Guard components should place individual requirements. Do not submit your requirements through your higher Active MTF.

All MTF�s that fall under European Command (EUCOM) will submit the attached �2017-2018 DoD Seasonal Influenza Ordering Form� to the following POC:
