The Bureau of Land Management announced new appointments to the California Desert District citizen-based Desert Advisory Council which advises the agency on over 10 million acres of southern California desert public land management issues.
Fire restrictions have been lifted for public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management California Desert District in Kern, Inyo, Mono, western Riverside and eastern San Diego Counties and San Bernardino County north of Highways 18 and 138.
