Small Business Office

                                                         

The Small Business Office is managed by the Deputy for Small Business. The Deputy serves as an advocate for the Small and Disadvantaged Business Program by ensuring that small businesses receive the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in and receive their fair share of contract dollars awarded by the Louisville District. The Small Business Program is promoted by actively seeking opportunities to reserve requirements under federal guidelines for small business, Women Owned, 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone Empowerment (HubZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Historical Black Colleges and Universities, and Minority Institutions.

All vendors wishing to do business with the Louisville District, Corps of Engineers, must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM). Procedures for registering may be found on the SAM home page at www.sam.gov. Registering in SAM is free of charge.  PLEASE BE AWARE OF COMPANIES CHARGING FOR SAM REGISTRATION.

All projects exceeding $25,000 are posted to the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fbo.gov. Use keyword "W912QR" to search for Louisville District projects.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)
The Defense Logistics Agency, on behalf of the Secretary of Defense, administers the DoD Procurement Technical Assistance Program. PTA Centers are local resources available at no or nominal cost that can provide assistance to business firms in marketing products and services to the federal, state and local governments. Events to Attend

Kentuckiana SAME Small Business workshop is January 18, 2017 from 8:00AM to 5:15PM at the Marriott Downtown, 280 W. Jefferson Street, Louisville, KY 40202.

Louisville District Federal Forum is January 19, 2017 from 8:00AM to 3:30PM at the Marriott Downtown.  No advanced registration is required for the Federal Forum.

Nashville District Small Business Industry Day is March 15, 2017 from 7:30AM to 3:30PM Central at Tennessee State University, Avon Williams Campus, 330 Tenth Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203.  This years theme is Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.
