FOIA

Bureau FOIA Requester Service Centers & FOIA Public Liaisons

Each Treasury bureau represents a "component" as referred to in the Open Government Act of 2007.

FOIA Requester Service Centers
The Department of the Treasury has established at least one FOIA Requester Service Center in each of its components.  The FOIA Service Centers enable FOIA requesters to seek information concerning the status of their FOIA requests and appropriate information about the Department's FOIA responses.

FOIA Public Liaisons
The Chief FOIA Officer has designated FOIA Public Liaisons for each Treasury bureau.  The public liaison will serve as the supervisory official with whom a FOIA requester can raise concerns about the service the FOIA requester has received from the FOIA Requester Service Center following an initial response from the center staff.
