Stock Assessment Enterprise

NOAA Fisheries’ stock assessment enterprise is composed of six regional science centers, with the Office of Science and Technology as its national coordinating body. Using the Stock Assessment Improvement Plan as a guide, NOAA Fisheries utilizes its national network of data collection and stock assessment programs in collaboration with its partners in each management area to conduct assessments that are appropriate for each fish stock or stock complex. NOAA Fisheries’ scientists work with other scientists, fishermen, resource managers, and others from around the country and world to ensure NOAA stock assessments represent the best scientific information available .  Click here to read more about who we are and what we do!
