Northeast SARE serves Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.  

Grants come in two sizes--large, multiyear projects ranging from $30,000 to $200,000, and smaller, shorter-term projects of $15,000 or less. Professional Development Grants, Research and Education Grants: The deadline for preproposals was June 23, 2016. Invited full proposals are due in the fall.

Partnership Grants: The deadline for 2017 Partnership Grants is October 25, 2016 for awards in the spring. Application materials will be released midsummer.

Farmer Grants: The deadline for 2017 Farmer Grants is November 29, 2016 for awards in the spring. Application materials will be released midsummer.

Graduate Student Grants: The deadline for Graduate Student Grants is in May with awards announced in August.
