  3. On this Veterans Day we send our thanks and gratitude to all veterans and their families.

    "Every veteran, past and present, has a story. Some served in wartime, others during moments of peace; many were volunteers, others were called; some served a matter of days, while others gave their life's work to the profession of arms. All deserve our deepest gratitude."
  4. 129th Rescue Wing Airmen and rescue aircraft are staged at the 166th Airlift Wing at the New Castle Air National Guard Base, Del. and remain ready to provide life-saving rescue capabilities to those in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. A band of C-130 cargo aircraft from Nevada, North Carolina, Delaware and the 146th Airlift Wing in California are also staged at the 166th AW in anticipation of humanitarian support.

  6. MISSION ALERT! More than a 100 personnel are preparing to assist with Hurricane Sandy rescue efforts. Two MC-130P Combat Shadows, two HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopters and Guardian Angel Pararescue teams will mobilize to the East Coast as early as Monday to provide life-saving rescue capabilities to those in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

  9. 129th RQW member performing at the World Series! Staff Sergeant Dan Olivas of ANG Band of the West Coast, is scheduled to perform tonight during the 7th inning of the World Series game between the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers. The game starts at 5:00 PM.
