STEP 1: In Chrome enter the URL http://energy.gov/ehss. Once the EHSS site loads, go to the Customize and Control Google Chrome button in the far right of the top menu (the icon looks like a page with multiple horizontal lines on it).
STEP 2: After clicking on this icon the Customize and Control menu will drop down. Select "SETTINGS" from this menu.
STEP 3: Once the Setting page loads, go to the “ON STARTUP” section (highlighted with red arrow). Select “Open a specific page or set of pages”. (Notice the phrase “set of pages”, means to set MULTIPLE pages which will be opened in separate tabs when launching the Google Chrome browser).
STEP 4: Once the Startup Pages screen loads, Enter "http://www.energy.gov/ehss/environment-health-safety-security" in the Add a new page input field and then click "OK" and then click "OK" again to close the screen. If you want to set multiple home pages, then enter the web addresses of pages in Add a new page input field and then click "OK" once you have added all the page selections click "OK" again to close the screen. Closing down and restarting Google Chrome will load the page or pages automatically in separate browser tabs.
