This postcard shows the House Chamber packed with dignataries mourning assassinated President and former House Member William McKinley at a 1902 Joint Session of Congress. John Hay, the Secretary of State, gave a eulogy, and attendees included The Supreme Court Justices, President Theodore Roosevelt and Prince Henry of Prussia. Four years later, the postcard was still popular, since it showed what was at the time a rare gathering of all three branches of government.
