Data pertaining to school performance or ranking, such as the Academic Performance Index (API) and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).
Academic Performance Index (API)
The cornerstone of California's Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999; measures the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures.
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
A statewide accountability system mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 which requires each state to ensure that all schools and districts make Adequate Yearly Progress.
California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS)
A longitudinal data system used to maintain individual-level data including student demographics, course data, discipline, assessments, staff assignments, and other data for state and federal reporting.
Postsecondary Preparation
Provides standardized test results from the SAT, ACT, and AP tests which measure high school students' achievement.
