CPI for all items rises 0.3% in December; gas and shelter prices rise, food prices flat

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers increased 0.3 percent in December after rising 0.2 percent in November. The index for all items less food and energy rose 0.2 percent in December, the same increase as in November.
