Applications are now open for the world’s richest and largest graduate-level student startup competition, the Rice Business Plan Competition! Hosted by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship and the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, the Rice Business Plan Competition is designed to give collegiate entrepreneurs a real-world experience to sharpen their business plans to successfully commercialize their products. Rice University holds the Cleantech University Prize (UP) as a distinct track with the annual Rice Business Plan Competition.
Sponsored by the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Cleantech UP is a leading opportunity for student innovators to compete for cash prizes and entrepreneurial services to further support the commercialization of their technologies.
Any student startup team from any can apply to the competition. The top three teams from the Cleantech UP track of the Rice Business Plan Competition are invited to compete at the National Cleantech UP competition for additional prizes and services.
