PSD's mission at the Joint Expeditionary Base is to provide consolidated pay, personnel and transportation functions for all Joint Expeditionary Base's shore-based units. Military members should check in with PSD before checking in with their new command when first arriving at Joint Expeditionary Base. To get to PSD, come in Gate 3, make a right at the stop light on Amphibious Drive. Then make a left at the stop sign onto Nider Blvd. PSD is the first building on your left.
Normal customer service hours for all functions, except for the issuance of ID cards, are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The duty office is manned from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3-4 p.m. The duty office telephone number is 757-462-8063. There is also a duty section available to assist personnel in case of emergencies after hours. The command duty officer may be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling the duty beeper at 757-613-3378.
DEERS
Every family member must be enrolled in DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System).
Call 1-800-538-9552 24-hours-a-day to verify family member's enrollment. Family members may be refused treatment or entrance to medical facilities without DEERS enrollment. The Identification Card Issuing Office can assist with DEERS enrollment problems. For more information, call 757-462-7275. The DEERS enrollment office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. The DEERS enrollment office phone number is 757-462-8065.
Identification Card Issuance
The Joint Expeditionary Base ID Card Issuing Office serves active duty, family members, retired, retired family members, reserve and reserve family member ID cards and is open for customer service from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The ID card office phone number is 757-462-7275. If you are unsure what supporting documentation you must bring with you to receive an ID card, call 757-462-7275.
Transportation
Transportation in connection with official orders for commercial airline tickets and confirmed Air Mobility Command (AMC) flights are processed in the Passenger Transportation Department. This department also processes no-fee passport/visa applications for official travel. The office can be reached at 757-462-8053.
