Great work shipmates!
On this day, 50 years ago, the Office of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy was established.
Today, I ask you all to take a moment to stop, and reflect... upon the many changes the Navy has made improving quality of life for the enlisted Sailor, and what role a Chief Petty Officer has played in your personal and professional development.
As we move forward this year, commemorating 50 years of the MCPON, remember our proud heritage as United States Navy Sailors. Just as each MCPON has made an impact, remember the contributions our Sailors make each day to continue making this the finest Navy the world has ever seen.
Thank you Shipmates, and have a great Navy day! #MCPON50 #USN
