Welcome to the Division of Engineering

Mission: To provide exceptional engineering design and construction, facility maintenance and environmental compliance services in support of the Fish and Wildlife Service mission to conserve, protect and enhance fish and wildlife and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

The headquarters for the Division of Engineering is located in Arlington, VA, and is comprised of two branches:

•  Dam, Bridge and Seismic Safety Branch
•  Branch of Environmental Compliance

Key areas of responsibility include: engineering program management, civil and facility design, construction management, dam safety, bridge safety, seismic safety, and environmental compliance. In addition, engineering staffs in the headquarters office and regional offices provide technical leadership in energy management, the sustainability of Service facilities, hazardous materials management and mitigation, environmental compliance, and compliance with other Federal regulations and codes.
