Update on the NBL Program Office
Dec 8, 2016

Development of the Program Office continues.  Please note there are significant changes to our website, with more on the way. We’ve added more information to make the ordering process more efficient and user-friendly, updated our order form, payment instructions, terms and conditions and in the near future will be adding more content of interest to our customers.
Our products are available for sale and we are shipping.  We will transition to a new storage/distribution location at another Department of Energy facility in the coming months.  During the transition to the new facility, shipments will be scheduled to the best of our abilities.  Please note the following:

    • Shipping will be temporarily halted for about four weeks in February 2017 in order to perform inventory and related activities.  Also, shipments will be halted from Dec 15th until early January as the Lab shuts down over the US holidays.  We expect to batch shipments at the end of January, and another batch in March.  We can provide approximate ship dates upon request, but ask for your continued patience.
    • We’ve updated our order form, terms and conditions and payment methods.  Please refer to Ordering Reference Materials for more information.
    • Prices will be increasing, later in 2017, in order to establish and maintain our new storage/distribution center and ensure that our mission is sustainable.  A description of our pricing policy will be available on the website in the coming months and we will provide a notice on our website in advance of any increases.
    • Our new Director, Dr. Yacouba Diawara, will be starting on January 9th, 2017.  A short biography is available on the About page.

Finally, please note that ALL inquiries concerning our products and services should be directed to:

NBLSales@science.doe.gov

We will be retiring the USDOE.NBL email, and will forward all messages sent there for the next few months.  Please take note of our new email.

We look forward to the start-up of our new storage and distribution facility in the coming months, and are confident that once established the NBL Program Office will be able to provide our materials in a timely and efficient manner.

Comments, suggestions or complaints can be sent to NBLSales@science.doe.gov or directly to me at Peter.mason@science.doe.gov.  Feel free to call at 630-252-2458.

Peter Mason
Deputy Director
