CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company is the prime contractor for the safe, environmental cleanup of the Central Plateau at the Hanford Site. CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company is responsible for waste retrieval and fuels management, groundwater and vadose zone remediation, demolition of facilities and canyons, and closure of the Plutonium Finishing Plant.  Along the Columbia River, CH2M HILL is also remediating the 100K Area, which includes preparing for the treatment of  highly radioactive sludge that is now the K West Basin, where it will be stored until it can be treated.
