Stock Assessments Scientists at the SWFSC assess the status of marine and anadromous fish and protected species populations. They use biological data collected in field surveys as well as catch and other data collected from the fisheries. Our assessments provide the fundamental information for determining the status of a population and for managing the populations domestically and internationally.
