MONAHRQ® Version 2.0.2 - Now Available (10/7/11)

MONAHRQ® 2.0.2 has been released and is available for download. Version 2.0.2 is a maintenance release that replaces version 2.0.1.

We strongly recommend that users install and use version 2.0.2. In order to install 2.0.2, previous versions of MONAHRQ® must be uninstalled. Previously generated Web sites should be regenerated.

For MONAHRQ® 2.0.2, generated Web sites are best viewed in the Firefox browser.

Summary of Changes from MONAHRQ® 2.0.1 to 2.0.2

MONAHRQ® 2.0.2 includes the following updates:

  • Provides correct zip code-based hospital search for zip codes that begin with a zero. Previously, the zip code-based hospital search function did not recognize zip codes beginning with a zero as valid.
  • Corrects the labeling of two AHRQ Quality Indicators: PSI 18, Obstetric injury after vaginal delivery with medical instruments, and PSI 19, Obstetric injury after vaginal delivery without medical instruments. Previously, the labels for these two AHRQ Quality Indicators were reversed.
  • Corrects a number of minor inconsistencies in methodology documentation.

For questions or technical assistance, please contact MONAHRQ@ahrq.gov.

MONAHRQ® Version 2.0.1 - Now Available (9/19/11)

MONAHRQ® 2.0.1 has been released and is available for download. Version 2.0.1 is a maintenance release that replaces version 2.0.

We strongly recommend that users install and use version 2.0.1. In order to install 2.0.1, previous versions of MONAHRQ® must be uninstalled. Previously generated Web sites should be regenerated.

For MONAHRQ® 2.0.1, generated Web sites are best viewed in the Firefox browser.

Summary of Changes from MONAHRQ® 2.0 to 2.0.1

MONAHRQ® 2.0.1 includes the following updates:

  • Corrects the bar chart ordering. Bar charts are now consistently ordered from best to worst. Previously, in some browser versions, some bar charts were labeled as if ordered from best to worst but appeared ordered from highest value to lowest value.
  • Corrects the interpretation of AHRQ Quality Indicator IQI 34, Vaginal Birth after Cesarean (VBAC) Rate All. IQI 34 is now rated to indicate that higher measure results are better. Previously, it was rated to indicate that lower measure results are better.
  • Eliminates errors from selecting DRGs for which there is no data. Previously, selecting DRGs Hospital Utilization path for which there is no data produced an error page.
  • Improves hospital selection in the Hospital Utilization path. Now, only hospitals with utilization data can be selected in the Hospital Utilization path. Previously, the "By ZIP Code" selection option allowed selection of all hospitals.

For questions or technical assistance, please contact MONAHRQ@ahrq.gov.

Bar Chart Rendering Error (8/30/11)

The July 8 release of MONAHRQ® Version 2.0 contained an error in the bar charts pages. Some bar charts are incorrectly ordered from highest to lowest value rather than from best to worst value.

We are working to provide three types of fixes:

  1. A new, corrected version of the MONAHRQ® software, version 2.0.1.
  2. A downloadable patch that will update an existing MONAHRQ® installation from version 2.0 to the corrected version 2.0.1.
  3. Instructions on how to manually edit a generated MONAHRQ® 2.0 Web site to produce correct ordering in the bar charts.

We plan to make these fixes available by 3pm ET on Thursday, September 1. We will announce their availability on this email list and in the "What's New" section of the MONAHRQ® Web site.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your interest in MONAHRQ.
