The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of River Protection (ORP) is conducting a 60-day public comment period to support a proposed Class 3 permit modification to the Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) Dangerous Waste Permit. The modification is needed to support construction activities for the Direct-Feed Low Activity Waste Effluent Management Facility (EMF) Secondary Containment systems. The public comment period runs from November 28, 2016 through January 27, 2017. A public meeting was held January 9, 2017 in the Richland Library (955 Northgate Drive, Richland).
