U.S. Official Development Assistance Database

This web site provides U.S. Official Development Assistance (ODA) data as defined by the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), Development Assistance Committee (DAC). These data are compiled annually by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for the U.S. Government and submitted to the OECD/DAC.

DAC is the principal body through which the OECD deals with issues related to cooperation with developing countries. The DAC publishes statistics and reports on aid and other resource flows from donor countries to developing countries, based principally on the reporting of DAC Member countries.

Because all donor countries use the same definition of "Official Development Assistance" when reporting to the DAC, these data are useful when comparing assistance across donor countries.

To understand how the data on this site differ from U.S. foreign assistance reported in the Greenbook please see our Comparison of Official Development Assistance and Foreign Assistance Reporting.

Users may access the standard DAC tables or create their own customized tables. The data in the customized tables are more expansive than the standard tables. Users are able to query U.S. ODA by recipient country, sector and implementing agency
