Features and Programs

The Extremism Watch Desk is pursuing content in eight different languages -- Arabic, Kurdish Kurmanji, Kurdish Sorani, Persian, Urdu, Pashtu, Turkish, Hindi, and Russian -- focused on IS and extremist activities of other groups.

Content is translated into English and is shared with VOA’s 47 language services, VOA Central News and our BBG colleagues at MBN, RFE/RL and Alhurra.

Extremism Watch desk monitors news related to extremism around the world. It takes an in-depth look at the stories behind the headlines to give audiences what most Western media do not report.
