This site provides information on grants issued by SAMHSA for mental health and substance abuse services by State. The summaries include Drug Free Communities grants issued by SAMHSA on behalf of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

The dollar amounts for the grants should not be used for SAMHSA budgetary purposes.

The funds listed for the formula grants are the amounts provided to the States in fiscal year 2015. The amounts for discretionary grants are those awarded at the close of fiscal year 2015 and are currently being used in the States for services. Discretionary grants with fiscal year 2016 dollars, when appropriated, will be made throughout the fiscal year.
