Happy New Year all! Earlier today the Senate passed fiscal cliff legislation. I'm currently reading through this legislation and will continue to keep you as updated as possible.- The outcome of the fiscal cliff is in the hands of the Senate. The House has acted time after time – well before the January 1st deadline – to offer a balanced approach that stops the defense ‘sequester’ and tax hikes on all Americans.

I was honored to present Army 2nd Lt. Victor Cook's medals to his daughter Mary Victoria Cook Laurenti yesterday in Bradley. Lt. Cook, a true war hero, died in World War II.
