Appointment System for American Citizen Services

The American Citizen Services Unit now uses a mandatory online appointment system for all non-emergency services.  We hope this tool will help reduce wait times during high-demand periods. 

When you make an appointment, please write down your password and appointment details. The appointment system will NOT/NOT send you a confirmation email regarding your appointment. If you want to change or cancel an appointment, you must have that password. We are unable to change appointments on your behalf. If you forget your password and need to make a change, please email us so we can cancel your appointment. You can then use the website to make a new appointment. You do not need to bring your confirmation page with you on the day of your appointment- just bring photo identification.

To make an appointment for Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) and first U.S. passport for children, please click here. You may use the same appointment to apply for the child’s first passport and Social Security Number.

• Obtain a U.S. passport for minors and adults: Please make an appointment for "Passport services other than adding pages."
• Return to submit additional documents for an already pending CRBA and/or passport application : Please make an appointment for "Request notarial and other services not listed above." DO NOT/DO NOT make an appointment for "Report the birth abroad of a child of a U.S. citizen and/or apply for the child's first passport, Report of Birth and Social Security Number."or "Passport services other than adding pages."
• Apply for a social security card : Please make an appointment for "Request notarial and other services not listed above."  DO NOT/DO NOT make an appointment for "Report the birth abroad of a child of a U.S. citizen and/or apply for the child's first passport, Report of Birth and Social Security Number" even if this will be your child's first Social Security card. 
• Obtain notarial services : Please make an appointment for "Request notarial and other services not listed above."
• Complete a Marriageability Affidavit : Please make an appointment for "Request notarial and other services not listed above."
• Report a green card lost/stolen and/or applying for a Boarding Foil: Please make an appointment for "Request notarial and other services not listed above."
• Fingerprint services for adoptive parents : Please make an appointment for "Request notarial and other services not listed above." (Please note that the consulate cannot provide fingerprint service for any other purpose.)

Visitors may receive several services during the same visit to American Citizen Services.  Please make a separate appointment for each individual service. 

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment time, to allow time to clear security. 

Scheduled appointments will be automatically canceled for applicants who arrive more than 15 minutes after their scheduled time.

PLEASE NOTE:  For security purposes, mobile or electronic devices, and sealed packages or envelopes are NOT allowed in the ACS waiting room.  Food or liquid items are generally not allowed unless they are for infants and small children.

No appointments are necessary to:

• Report a passport lost / stolen, after first reporting in person to the Entry and Exit Bureau
• Pick-up a new passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or Returning Resident Permit, after receiving notification from the Consulate
• Request an emergency service, such as reporting a death
• Submit voting materials
